Patrick Hidalgo, the founder of Freights Bay Digital Asset Management LLC, brings extensive experience in finance and blockchain technology.
In these capacities, Mr. Hidalgo is responsible for investment decisions, marketing, and management operations of the Partnership.
Before co-founding the Investment Manager and General Partner in late 2022, Mr. Hidalgo was the Chief Financial Officer of Sazmining, Inc. since February 2022. Prior to Sazmining, Mr. Hidalgo was the Chief Financial Officer for Bitt, Inc. where he served in that and other capacities since November 2017.
Additionally, he has over 20 years experience in fixed income capital markets including 6 years with Proprietary Capital LLC, a mortgage derivative hedge fund.
Mr. Hidalgo holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign which he received in 1995. Mr. Hidalgo also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder which he received in 1991.
